Event Description

Gunwerks is all about the perfect shot. We train to hunt, and success is the only outcome worthy of pursuit. Everything comes down to preparation. We are offering a brand new training venue for 2021! This event takes place at the renowned Cameo Shooting Complex outside Grand Junction, Colorado. The training experience will include a three day combined Level 1 (Foundation) and Level 2 (Development) course, teaching you everything you need to know about every aspect of long range shooting! With Gunwerks equipment and training, you will achieve more capability in less time than any other training in the world.

We believe in a “building blocks" approach to training where each course builds upon the previous. Our Foundation, Development and Application Level courses (Level 1, 2 and 3) are broad based and will turn you into a well-rounded long range shooter and hunter.

In our Level 1 and Level 2 courses, we provide suppressed Magnus rifles in 6.5 Creedmoor and match grade ammunition. This is the perfect training platform with good long range ballistics and minimal recoil.


Training Overview
Day 1

Day 2

  • Long Range External Ballistics class

  • Long Range Wind Class

  • Cleaning demonstration

  • Shooting drills 300 - 1000 yards.


Day 3

  • Internal and Terminal Ballistic class

  • Laser Range finder class

  • Field Shooting Positions Class

  • Long Range Cold Bore shot

  • Unknown distance range drills.

  • Field Shooting Position drills.

CAMEO SHOOTING COMPLEX

GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO

The Cameo Shooting and Education Park is a world class training complex owned and operated by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. They have an extensive range complex, and their Long Range Precision range has hosted events such as the NRL Hunter Series in the past. They have state of the art classroom facilities. Cameo is located minutes from Grand Junction Colorado where there is a large airport and plenty of hotel and dining opportunities. 

Gunwerks will provide snacks and water on the range and in the classroom. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions ahead of time so that we can facilitate meals for you. 

Students will be using Gunwerks Shooting Systems for the training course. Shooting a provided system allows us to avoid any equipment or setup related distractions and offer a consistent teaching environment with a laser focus on the things that matter. The Gunwerks rifles are suppressed and feature a REVIC PMR riflescope. Several models and calibers will be available for testing, but the workhorse is the Magnus chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.

The course starts each day at 8:00 a.m. and we will conclude around 5:00 PM.

We will need the final payment completed two weeks before the event start date to keep the registration valid.

Directions:
Take 1-70 east from Grand Junction to exit 45, turn north and follow signs to Cameo. View on G​oogle maps​.​

We will meet every morning at the Cameo Shooting Park at 8:00am. You will need vehicle transportation to travel from your hotel in Grand Junction.

Your destination City is Grand Junction, Colorado. We recommend early booking.

Grand Junction Colorado has numerous commercial flights available. Grand Junction Regional Airport


Car Rentals:
Please make car rental plans with your flight arrangements, Gunwerks does not offer transportation to and from the facility for the course. 

The shooting facility is in an approximate 20 minute drive from Grand Junction, CO each day.

All applicants for our training courses must be US citizens not legally barred from possessing firearms. For non-US citizens interested in a training course, please call us directly (307) 296-7300.

All event attendees must complete our liability and media waiver.


Students Discounts:

Students are eligible for up to a 10% discount on in stock firearms within 90 days of completing a class. 

Book all levels and save! 10% discount for booking the full Long Range University curriculum.

Booking Requirements:

To secure an event date, a deposit payment is required. Final payment is due 15 days prior to the earliest event date.

Student Cancellation:

If you need to cancel a training or competition more than sixty (60) days prior to the earliest event date, your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel a training or competition in less than sixty (60) days but more than thirty (30) days prior to the earliest event date, you can rebook the training or competition for an available alternate date. If you cancel a training or competition less than thirty (30) days prior to the earliest event date, your deposit is forfeited and non-refundable.  If you cancel a hunting event (other than an African hunt) more than one hundred twenty (120) days from the start of the hunt, your deposit is fully refundable. If cancelled less than one hundred twenty (120) days from the start of the hunt, the deposit is forfeited.

Gunwerks reserves the right to change or amend these policies at any time.

Student Rebooking:

If you need to rebook a class MORE than thirty (30) days before your scheduled class date, you may rebook (transfer to another class) without any fee. 

If the rebooking is to a more expensive class, you are responsible for the price difference. If the rebooking is to a less expensive class, you will receive a refund of the price difference.

Gunwerks Class Cancellation:

In rare circumstances, Gunwerks may need to cancel a class. If this occurs, you will be notified as soon as possible and given the option of either a full refund or a move to another course of the same value.
